Admitting you have a problem is the first step, right?
So, I know I'm supposed to be saving money, pretty much every penny I get. But then, whenever I'm feeling extremely bummed, or I'm kinda sick, I feel like I need to do something to cheer myself up or feel better. Last night, I went shopping.
My name is Sarah, and I am a shop-a-holic.
No joke, I blew almost $500 last night but damn if I didn't get some great clothes. The cutest boy ever helped me at American Eagle and I don't even know his name, he was such a sweetheart and he's a senior in high school, which duh, jailbait much. But he wasn't cute in that way, he was cute in the adorable, helpful kind of way. I was trying on the outfits he picked out for me and he brought me this necklace that said on one side, 'So Into You' and the other side said 'So Over You' and he showed the me 'into you' side and said I should try it. SO ADORABLE. He also thought I was 20, til I set the record straight
Side note: I've been getting a lot of that lately, and really for the last couple years. People don't believe that I'm 25. Everyone seems to think I look like I'm 20 or 21. For reals. Which I dig because maybe when I've 40 then I'll look 35 or something.
Then off to Maurices, where lord knows I can stay for HOURS. I was there for an hour and a half - but I only had to leave because they were closing - and I seriously found amazing stuff. I didn't have time to look at jewelry, maybe I'll do that today, and shoes too, but seriously, I went crazy. Part of what set this off was that I got my 20% off coupon in the mail and I had a $10 punch card too so...who can turn down deals like that? 20% OFF MY ENTIRE PURCHASE!!!!! Sweet! Alas, I still have problems finding pants because of this big ol' ass I'm dragging around, but I did find these cute capri things so yay.
Seriously though, I know I will probably be homeless if I keep spending money, but if it's on my Maurices credit card, it doesn't really count, right?
Right?
RIGHT?
I'm doomed.
